Taka Boom, born Yvonne Stevens on October 8, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, has carved a niche for herself in the R&B and dance music scene. This partnership resulted in chart-topping tracks like “Can’t Get High Without U” and “Must Be the Music,” which reached number one on the US Dance chart.
